The Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association announced its Preseason Poll and Preseason All-MIVA Team on Tuesday (Dec. 14). Loyola Chicago was selected as the preseason favorite to win the 2022 crown and Lewis graduate student Tyler Mitchem was tabbed as the Preseason Player of the Year.

Six of the eight MIVA teams were represented on the Preseason All-MIVA Team, with each of them having two players help comprise the 12-man team.
