Rogers and Grant Named Final Players of the Week of 2026

The final set of Player of the Week awards for the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association were announced on Tuesday (April 14). Ball State’s Patrick Rogers picked up the Offensive Player of the Week award and Lindenwood’s Amir Grant earned the Defensive Player of the Week honor.

Rogers led Ball State to the MIVA regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming MIVA Tournament. Rogers averaged 4.20 kills per set last week, including 5.33 in the winner-take-all match against Loyola Chicago. The senior pin had 21 kills in five sets against Lewis and 16 in three against the Ramblers. He hit .500 against LUC for a .324 clip for the week. This is Rogers’ fifth Player of the Week award and third this season.

Grant helped Lindenwood to a 2-0 week to secure the No. 3 seed in the MIVA Tournament. In the Lions’ win over Ohio State, Grant had a career-high seven blocks and a dig, following up on his four-block performance against Northern Kentucky. Grant averaged 1.38 blocks per set en route to his first Player of the Week award in his career.
