The Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association announced that Loyola Chicago setter Ryan McElligott was named the MIVA Offensive Player of the Week and Lewis libero Nico Paula earned the Defensive Player of the Week award.

McElligott led Loyola to a 1-0 week with a four-set victory over Ball State. The setter dished out 51 assists for a 12.75 per set clip and led the Ramblers to a team hitting percentage of .394. The junior setter added three kills on six attempts in the win over the Cardinals.

Paula led Lewis to a 2-0 non-MIVA week with wins over Emmanuel and Fort Valley State. The junior libero dug out nine attempts at Emmanuel then followed it up with 13 at Fort Valley State. With both being three-set wins, Paula finished the week with a 3.67 digs per set average while committing just one reception error.
