Ball State and Loyola Chicago Will Clash for MIVA Title

Ball State and Loyola Chicago will play for the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Tournament title.

No. 1 Ball State topped No. 4 McKendree 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-21). The Cardinals hit .481 behind Lucas Machado's 37 assists. MIVA Player of the Year Patrick Rogers finished the match with 16 kills on a .500 hitting percentage. McKendree's Bryce Wetjen had a team-high 10 kills.

No. 2 Loyola Chicago beat No. 6 Lewis 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-23). The Ramblers were led by Aleksander Sosa, who racked up 17 kills. Daniel Fabikovic added a double-double of 10 kills and 10 digs and Ryan McElligott dished out 39 assists. Daniel Haber had 12 kills to lead Lewis.

Ball State and Loyola will clash for the MIVA title on Saturday (April 25) in Muncie at 6 p.m.
