The Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association announced the 2026 All-MIVA awards on Thursday (April 16). Patrick Rogers was named the MIVA Player of the Year, Caden Whiteside was the MIVA Newcomer of the Year and Mike Iandolo was the MIVA Coach of the Year.
Rogers led the MIVA with 3.90 kills per set, and upped it to 3.96 in MIVA play. He hit an efficient .363 in conference play while leading the Cardinals to the MIVA regular season title. Rogers added 1.71 digs and 0.60 blocks per set in MIVA play. The senior pin had a season-high 26 kills at Lewis.
Whiteside averaged 2.41 kills per set in his redshirt-freshman campaign with a 2.34 per set mark in league play. The outside hitter had double-digit kill performances this season with a season-high 19 at Queens. Whiteside helped Lindenwood to 20 wins in the regular season, a program record.
In his first season at the helm, Iandolo led Ball State to its 24th regular season MIVA title and fourth in the last five years. The Cardinals finished the regular season 22-4 with a 13-3 mark in MIVA play. They beat Loyola Chicago in the regular season finale to clinch the title.
Loyola Chicago and McKendree led the MIVA with five All-MIVA selections each. Ball State had four honorees, headlined by Rogers' Player of the Year nod. Lewis, Lindenwood and Ohio State had three All-MIVA honorees each. Purdue Fort Wayne had one selection to round out the All-MIVA teams.
