A pair of Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association award winners have repeated as the Players of the Week, the MIVA announced on Tuesday (March 10). Zach Solomon was picked as the Offensive Player of the Week and Nate Flayter was the Defensive Player of the Week.

Solomon led Lindenwood to a pair of 3-0 road MIVA wins at Ohio State and Northern Kentucky. The senior setter dished out 71 assists for an average of nearly 12 per set. He led the Lions to hitting percentages of .377 and .434 at OSU and NKU, respectively. Solomon had 41 of his 71 assists at Northern Kentucky. In addition to his 11.83 assists per set, he added five aces en route to his third Offensive Player of the Week award of the season and fifth weekly award in his career.

Flayter picked up his second Defensive Player of the Week award in as many weeks thanks to 20 digs and six blocks in McKendree's road wins at NKU and OSU. He was third in the MIVA with 2.86 digs per set this week while adding 0.86 blocks per set. He paced the Bearcats defensively to hold both Northern Kentucky and Ohio State under .300 hitting. He had 13 of his 20 digs in a three-set win at Ohio State. This is Flayter’s seventh Player of the Week award, sixth defensive, in his career.
