LEXINGTON, Ky. - Loyola Chicago setter Dan Mangun has been named the American Volleyball Coaches Association National Player of the Week, the AVCA announced on Tuesday (March 14).
Mangun led Loyola Chicago to a pair of wins this week, including a MIVA win over McKendree. The setter from Joliet, Illinois dished out 89 assists over eight sets of action for an 11.13 average per set. He led the Ramblers to a .312 hitting percentage for the week, including .353 clip against Queens.
Mangun is the first MIVA player to be named National Player of the Week since April 5, 2022 and first Loyola player to earn the award since February 15, 2022.
