The Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association announced its 2024 Preseason All-MIVA Team and Poll on Tuesday (Dec. 12). Ohio State was unanimously selected to repeat as the MIVA champion and Buckeye Jacob Pasteur was selected to earn MIVA Player of the Year for the second year in a row.

The MIVA Preseason Poll and All-MIVA Team were voted on by the nine MIVA head coaches.

Ohio State received all nine first-place votes, earning 81 points. Behind 2023 Coach of the Year John Hawks, Loyola Chicago was picked to finish second with 70 points. One of the three regular season co-winners from a year ago, Ball State was picked third. Lewis was fourth with 46 points, followed closely by Purdue Fort Wayne at fifth with 45 points and Lindenwood at sixth with 41 points. McKendree was selected seventh with 33 points and Quincy was eighth with 17 points. Newcomer Queens was picked ninth for the Royals' first season in the MIVA with 11 points.

Seven of the nine MIVA teams were represented on the Preseason All-MIVA Team. Ohio State led the way with four selections, Loyola Chicago and Purdue Fort Wayne had two each, and Ball State, Lewis, Lindenwood and Quincy each had one.
