13 MIVA Student-Athletes Earn All-America Honors

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its 2022 All-America selections on Monday, May 2, and 13 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association student-athletes were recognized among the best in the country.

Quinn Isaacson and Kaleb Jenness of Ball State and Tyler Mitchem of Lewis were the three MIVA players selected to the NVA/AVCA All-America First Team.

Ball State's Angelos Mandilaris was the lone MIVA player on the Second Team All-America list.

Felix Egharevba of Ball State, Kevin Kauling of Lewis, Cole Schlothauer, Parker Van Buren and Garrett Zolg of Loyola Chicago, Patrick Ross of McKendree, Jacob Pasteur of Ohio State, and Jon Diedrich and Troy Gooch of Purdue Fort Wayne were named All-America Honorable Mentions.

The 13 All-America selections ties the most MIVA student-athletes selected for All-America honors in history. There were also 13 in 2016.

Six of the eight MIVA teams were represented on the All-America lists.
