The Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association unveiled the 2022 MIVA Tournament bracket on Saturday night (April 9).
Ball State finished the season 12-2 claming the MIVA Regular Season Championship and the No. 1 seed for the first time since 2002. They will play host to No. 8 Quincy. The Hawks finished 0-14 in MIVA play.
Loyola Chicago finished with an 11-3 MIVA record to earn the No. 2 seed. The Ramblers will host No. 7 Lindenwood. The Lions ended the regular season at 4-10.
No. 3 McKendree was 8-5 in the MIVA regular season, earning a bid to host No. 6 Purdue Fort Wayne. The Mastodons finished 6-8.
No. 4 Lewis and No. 5 Ohio State both finished 7-7, but the Flyers won the tiebreaker with two head-to-head wins against the Buckeyes. Lewis will host Ohio State in the first round.
All of the quarterfinal matches take place on Saturday, April 16. Semifinal rounds will on Wednesday, April 20, hosted by the higher remaining seeds in the true bracket format. The MIVA Championship will be on Saturday, April 23, hosted by the highest remaining seed.
