IPFW's Shank Named MIVA Offensive Player of the Week After Career Night
Columbus, OH - For the second time this season,
senior captain Darryl
Shank has been named MIVA Player of the Week.
Shank's honor comes after logging a career-best 37 kills in
Saturday night's 3-2 come-from-behind victory over the George Mason
Patriots. The record mark came on 74 total swings and broke a
previous best of 35.
On the season, Shank averages a team-best 4.33 kills per set and
has helped lead his team to a 5-3 start to the 2011 season.
The Mastodons return to action Friday as they travel to Chicago for
an 8 p.m. matchup with the Loyola Ramblers.
