Parkville, Mo. The Quincy University men's volleyball team split a pair of matches on the road on Saturday against Park University. Quincy dropped the first match 3-1 but rallied to win the second match 3-2.
Quincy took the second match by the scores of 19-25, 25-12, 25-20, 17-25 and 15-12. The Hawks hit .237 as a team in the match with 45 kills and just 18 attack errors. The Hawks were led by Ryan Lehmann's 15 kills while Joe Sokol added 12 kills. Andrew Ouanu finished with 36 assists in the match with Tanner Wright adding 14 digs.
The Hawks had a strong hitting performance in the first match but were unable to pull out the win as they fell 23-25, 26-24, 27-25 and 25-18. The Hawks hit .286 as a team with 51 kills in the match but Park hit .382 with 53 kills. Quincy had four players finish in double digits in kills with Joe Ascher leading the way with 14 kills.
Quincy is now 2-2 overall this season and returns to action January 21st in their first home match as they take on Clark College at 7 p.m. in Pepsi Arena.
