Ohio State too much for Quincy

(Quincy, Ill.) The Ohio State University proved to be too much for the Quincy University men's volleyball team as they swept the Hawks 3-0, winning 30-17, 30-18 and 30-26, to win the match.

Quincy hit negative in all three sets and finished with a -.126 team hitting percentage in the match. Ohio State meanwhile hit .473 as a team with 39 kills and 17 errors in just 79 attempts. Ohio State also added 12.5 total team blocks and six service aces.

Quincy held a lead at 7-5 in the third set but Ohio State quickly erased the deficit to take the lead back. Quincy was led by Peter Coley with nine kills while no other Hawk recorded more than two kills in the match. Quincy is now 13-13 overall and 2-7 in the MIVA. They will host Ohio State again tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. in Pepsi Arena.
