Columbus, Ohio – Shawn Sangrey, a 6-5 sophomore opposite for the 11th-ranked Ohio State (18-7 overall, 10-1 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association) men’s volleyball team, has been named the MIVA Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season. Sangrey averaged 7.92 points, 7.00 kills, 1.17 digs and .50 blocks per game in 3-0 victories over then 11th-ranked Loyola-Chicago (30-26, 32-30, 30-24) and Lewis (32-30, 30-25, 30-21). He had double-figure kills (10) in game two where he produced 12 (2 aces) of OSU’s 22 points in the game.
