Quincy back even after 3-1 loss to Lees-McRae

(Banner Elk, N.C.) The Quincy University men's volleyball team is back at even on their overall record after a 3-1 loss on the road to Lees-McRae on Sunday. The Hawks fell 30-32, 36-34, 30-25 and 30-27 to fall to 15-15 overall this season.

Quincy took the first set in extra points hitting .200 as a team while Lees-McRae hit .000 as a team with 13 kills and 13 errors. Quincy pounded out a match high 20 kills while hitting a match best .205 as a team in game two but saw Lees-McRae edge the Hawks out for a 36-34 win in the set. The Lees-McRae attack got going after that, hitting .333 as a team in the third set with 16 kills and just six errors. The Hawks dropped the final set 30-27 as they hit just .114 as a team.

Quincy hit .156 as a team in the match with 59 kills and 36 errors and finished with 18.5 total team blocks. The Hawks committed 16 service errors while recording just one service ace. Peter Coley led the way with 23 kills while Dan Dresen added 48 assists and 14 digs.
